In April this year in a huge positive step forward, the government announced extra funding for improvements in security, lighting and shower facilities at truck stops for drivers.

Head of the William Gilder Group – William Gilder has said that this is not only putting drivers “at risk” by forcing them to park up in dangerous locations but is also “seriously impacting the wider supply chain”.
