Drivers Hours rules relaxation ends soon

May 2, 2020

The easing of Drivers Hours rules is due to come to an end at midnight on Sunday 31st May 2020. This is not likely to be extended.

From the early hours of Monday 1st June, you must observe Drivers Hours rules as they were before the current crisis began. These rules are explained on the relevant page of the Government website here.

You must also maintain accurate records of your compliance with Drivers Hours rules and you must keep these records for at least two years.

If you are not sure how to apply and comply with Drivers Hours rules, we cover these in several of our online courses for both drivers and managers:

  • Driver CPC Drivers Hours and Tachographs
  • Management CPC Refresher
  • OLAT (Operator Licence Awareness Training)
